Givenchy Spring/Summer 2012

       

Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy has caused my death and has reformed me into another revamped soul with this Spring/Summer collection. Riccardo has never used prints when other designers have been for Spring/Summer, Instead he's always chosen to go in the other direction and with that direction I will follow. Let me give you a recap on what's what if you don't remember what happened: last season was about letting loose with your inner suffer with the best of Hawaiian prints on the pants, jackets, and Kilts. The Season before was giving a sense of a wild side of vicious Rottweiler's printed on shirts and pants and give us a rock star edge to the feel of clothing.

Now! This Season beings you to a more stronger era with tailored blazers, and softness within the collection. You would think he would use normal materials but it wouldn't be Riccardo if he didn't use those exotic fabrics such as eel skin, shark, or stingray. opening the show with model Natalia Vodianova in look #1 had to be the a great moment for her and as she walks on in that sexy blazer I just couldn't help but say wow. Again with Givenchy pushing forward but taking a inspiration from the last collection he Incorporated the second skin pant and manipulated it by turning it into a wet suit like bottoms.

pushing through the line up you seen shirts and dresses cut in Chiffon material . Then seeing stain being used in the up most extraordinary way.

Push Further ahead into the line up I couldn't help but noticed the decent cut in the dress that model Kati Nescher  was wearing. The lather trim and the way it was cut to kind of revela some skin with out showing with was genius., from the other garments this piece had to be one of my favorites.

 

now lets talk about the silver shark tooth necklace!!

What?

Unlike me as a High School Junior and having to attend classes for so what you would say "Biology" and "Earth Science" pure science to me anyway. I always find it funny and very boring to sit in a class room for 90 minutes before changing to another course. We are always learning about fossils and things of that nature.

Now , For Givenchy this makes Biology looks  kind of fun and it show fashion has a way of finding a way through what we learn in everyday school life 5 days out of the week. I love this shark tooth necklace it's so simple and a piece I feel that is timeless. People that are interested in collecting  regular shark tooth fossils should be very intrigued by what Riccardo whipped up for up with this amazing piece. The most intriguing part about it that its silver and I am a person that like shiny things like silver.

Menswear Designers James Field and Sergio Wonder are planning to make a move and take the fashion industry over by toll with their creative style and designer ascetics for durable style without strict restraint to passive trends or popular fashion. Sergio and James were two designers who were brought together by  'Ellie Owen' designer Leon Curry and that was the start of their designer label Sergio James.
.



I'm  impressed by the label's constantly evolving "Jo" concept. The brand Sergio James  regards towards quality, authenticity, and fine details are proven worthy of acknowledgement. The authenticity of their Jo necklaces and bracelets makes me want to consume them and feel such pride that I am wearing an authentic piece of the brand I most definitely see myself wearing the both red and black Jo necklaces!

 I wish the both Sergio and James best blessing to become the next best thing in the fashion along with the label, Also I have high hopes that they will have a men's line of clothing as well for woman if that's in their future for Sergio James.

I adore London based Fashion stylist / Fashion blogger Marian Kihogo. She's a impeccable women of nature and style and most influential in the fashion industry. I love her style and how she dresses is very much like African culture but with a mixture of what's going on in today's pop culture much of creating a master piece of perfection with out being too, too perfect. When she said " when I'm styling for a person I like to get too know the person and where their mind frame are" that is how she determines what the person should wear to an event.


Marian is the most third person in my book to be a role model to people how wants to pursue a career in the fashion styling industry.

I fell mostly in love with the versatility of how you could wear your pieces, and I honesty think that it should be implied into to a collection . Why have one top when you can change in an matter of seconds into an extravagant dress that will wow the guest of the party.

Okay, As you all should I'm the fashion queen of my favorite store, and what you probably didn't know that ALDO has Launch a Fragrance called A is For ALDO  both for men and women. Personally I loved the womens side more then the mens because of the delightful of sents ADLO has put out. The bottles are in different colors , and all have different smells which gives you a feeling of playfulness. I only smelled two of the testers which was the Yellow A and Blue A, I am going to tell you to be honest I recommend the blue one because its more sweet , and I'd wear it all the time. The yellow A smells more like Lemon Sunshine but the smell didn't rub me the right way. The bag is made out of faux leather but the bad ass edgy python-scale details  which is awesome !

What make me Beautiful is the fact that I can live fearlessly, and carelessly of what people think of me. Yes I can be insecure about myself but everything changes when I know what's true about who I am and it’s what I think.  I'm not a small framed person but I'm a person that believes in myself.  I'm 17 years old and a strong individual. Some people look at me by my preference as being a Gay male and I never understood why. I'm not sadden by what people say or do because I have faith that it will come a day when I'm needed most and I'll be off in the winds where those who put me down or at least tired too  didn’t get the best of me.

Family Begginngs with Chocolate endings

I believe it's nice to have time to spend with family on some occasions and I had a blast doing it on a Sunday afternoon for early dinner at a Buffet which was awesome. Sharing laughs and telling stories about what happened during the week , and eating although I always find myself not eating a lot like most would do, Instead I feel like I eat like a bird. ha ha !

Besides from the two fried chickens and a delicious spinach salad with white shredded mozzarella cheese , Crab meat, and ranch dressing. UGH ! and how I enjoyed the divine chocolate fountain I discovered where the rest of the deserts were. Oddly I'm shocked that I missed it !

hum, Maybe because I was so into my song by Lady Gaga that was playing on Pandora. Yeah that was it !

Anyway I never really have chocolate cover strawberries and when I did it was more then tasty I DIED !


You'd think that I was in chocolate Haven and I was, oh how I wish that I stuffed some in a napkin and put it in my bag from Aldo. But it's so UNLADY LIKE TO DO SUCH ACTS... ;)

OH THAT BAG !

OK, I know that I've talked about this bag forever months ago but I don't care look at it. The bag is worth talking about 15 season from now. I can honestly walk down the street with this and not have a dam problem doing it. For me This fur bag from the Kanye West collection from Winter/fall did for me , and I don't believe that the collection was giving credit for its outstanding efforts. The collection started with his ex Girlfriend Amber Rose but since they weren't together by the time it was launched he had to finished it with no time to spare. On my personal opinion I felt that this collection was the best collection out of all the lines he has done, Especially with this beautiful fur backpack. Somebody !  Quickly tell Him to send this to me or if I could have it or what would I have to do too have it on my back.

I NEED IT !!!!!!

I still give my standing ovation to this collection.

I don't know about you but this makes me love Philip Lim more then I did before I seen this  video from Net-a-porter. He's so talented in what he does that keeps him so relevant in the fashion industry. The Collage Dress is so amazing because of the time that was put into the dressmaking process, As he said he rather make his dress by himself but have a home atelier to help. Thanks to Net-a-porter you will always see what's new and how designers work to provide a collection every 2 season each year. Yes I do know this is from Spring/ Summer 10 collection but its just so flawless !

Morning Sunshine

When waking up on a Saturday morning normal people would eat breakfast, chill around the house, or go out. I on the other hand  just woke up  and randomly decided to go into my closet to photography a outfit I just happened to think of. Only with a fast paste in then back out of my closet picking up items I pictured like no tomorrow. I had imagined sending photographs of my shots to Vogue Magazine  for a magazine feature. I put on my genius creation, picked up my Sony Cyber. Shot camera and then headed outside to make some magic.

Issac newton couldn't even couldn't even figure out the laws of how I did it.

Thanks to Fly life Pr and my awesome friend Wardrobe stylist/ Fashion Contributor Perrin Johnson  I might just be heading to NY Fashion Week  during the month of February. I've never been to  New York for any events like I have been dying to for many years of knowing what a fashion show was about. I'm already thinking about what to wear or how to wear it.


Fly life Pr if you never heard of it CEO name is J.Ryan La Cour and that would be a pleasure of meeting / interning for them during the summer if that is possible. Fly life PR  has been accompanied with clientele such as Dawn Richards from Dirty Money , Kiely Williams, Judi Jai, Vanessa Simmons, and The Braxtons. 


The clients they are working with has put them on the map and to know that I might be going to fashion week gives me chills down my dam spine. ha


They also have been working on a campaign called " Be You" and I find that very important because we are so focused on others are doing and trying to fit in but I love the message telling people to be themselves.


  


I just wanted to take the time to thank them very much especially Perrin  ! Now let me add some things to my Christmas list , You have to be Fly to ride. ;)

NY Fashion Week Spring 2012 : Acedemy of art U

Back in September I received an invitation to one of my Favorite art school fashion show for Spring 2012 to view the most talented designs by the graduating designers that have been chosen to have their designs walk the runway during NY fashion week at Lincoln center. Unfortunately, I  wasn't able to attend the show but I was happy to know that they have live stream and I tell you that the show was AWESOME !!

PEAKAGE MARNI X H&M

As the announcement has launch that Swedish designer Marni will be collaborating with H&M for a Spring/Summer collection that is ready to take place sooner than you think. I'm still trying to heal from the Versace collection. I am excited about this one because the collaboration is bring forth a new persona of prints that will sure light up the season. I'm just dying to see more of what's to come from this collaboration between the worlds more fashion market H&M and the designer. Also hoping for an invite ;)

 The moment has finally come that Nikki Minaj has been turned into a barbie doll by the company Mattel.




The Barbie doll was designed by a close friend of mines and mentor Stephen Sumner(@guruuvy )
 who was inspired by Nikki Minaj's Pink Friday Album. Previously before I always thought a doll designed  in her honer  and has mentioned it numerous of times and BAM ! HERE SHE IS. Ha Ha !


They have worked hard on this project and I'm proud to know a doll designer with great talents that can be spotted within a mile away, Stephen has worked with Mattel for many years and another successful has been made.

 I hear that the doll  has been auctioned off  for $5,000 U.S dollars , What an accomplishment !

I love the Pink Friday Album and man I love this doll... I want it !

I'm giving full gratitude to the Mattel , and my friend Stephen.

I went through everything with just a download away and I am floored when looking throughout out the virtual museum , I couldn't help but to realize how special the brand Valentino is especially in couture clothing.

Every since I seen this collection for SS11 and these beautiful sunglasses, I just couldn't help but to be obessed over them. I especally loved the brown and white colored ones and I find myself etheir on the prada website tracking them down or a website that holds them like net-a-porter. I don't care how many collections Prada has this has to be my most favorite out of all of the recent collection I've watched. I believe in classics and also timelessness and those Baroque sunglasses are still in my book ! $290.00 are a price to work for but I have tried the approch of asking my friends/stylist to buy me a pair. lol

Black Friday, Friday Black

I must tell you all that today was the biggest sell of the year besides from Fashion night out and that sale is called BLACK FRIDAY. Out of my entire life I've never ever worked in a retail store and this Holiday shopping day was the most interesting day of the my life, Talking about coming in at 11 pm- 5am on a Thursday night and working until morning comes which would be Friday leaving the mall at 7 then coming back at 5pm-11pm . We opened the store up afffround 12am and MY GOD! the customers came running in the door like chickens with no heads on. I never thought to see such  excitement out of people so early when we normally your suppose to be in bed sleep  then again who doesn't want to get that half of sales. I kid you not that the store was full of buying costumers and the lines were longer than anything you can imagine ( I might
 be exaggerating just a bit
 ) but the line was long. HA!

I SPOTTED THE HUXTABLE

After Working my 11-6 , Well it was suppose to be 6 but 5 is good enough. I decided to go look around Chesterfield town center mall to see what's in store for me on a shopping Holiday like this and I just had to stop by my all time favorite store to say Hello to a few buddies I've made in the store and I am fixated with everything when I was in ALDO is like the guilty pleasure I get whenever I walk in the department from shoes, and bags I spotted this lucky number and had to know the name of the beautiful leather studded bag. I asked one of the workers and it's called the HUXTABLE bag (click to buy) which comes in two different colors Bone, and Black. I'd prefer getting Bone it's just a classic, The cost of the bag is $48.00 and since the sale was 20% OFF you would be a happy customer. I thought this bag was so beautiful any girl , tranny, guy, and he-male should want to have this bag. ENJOY!!!

On the other hand what I brought will be here on its way from Canada. I will tell you about that bag when it gets here.

Julian Pierre Boney " INVINTAGE"

 

Julian Pierre Boney{pronounced BO-NAY} the collection is based on the embodiment of whimsical edge. This line was designed to be full of eye catching statement pieces for the fashion forward woman of tomorrow. Styling comes second nature to the design aspect of his work and combined it becomes his own form of art. HE loves to use both his own designs combined with other quality designers to create... what he calls a "fashion collision masterpiece."

His aesthetic for the collection comes from the empowerment of women and inspiration to make them feel confident about their beauty& femininity,be bold, feel sexy & strong! He has been designing since elementanary but took full charge of his passion for the art of design in 2007.

Today He's relased an introduction for his clothing line while doing a flash mod fashion show on the walk ways of the washington monument which couldn't of been a better too have models sashay in his revemped clothing that was created from vingtage pieces and some he has created himslef. I just died and went into fashion haven when I seen this "literaly" I had the entire video on repate!

The black draped gown screamed PARIANS CHIC, with an egdy of Couture, and I'm in love with that hat.

I'm happy to hear that he will be in NY show casing his new collection "monozygous" on november 30th 2011 at 11:30 pm . After seeing this video I know that it will stun the crowd and I don't think you want to miss out on it !

Magnum Opus- Culture Magazine

 

I was gracing through the Internet (like I do always) ... and  happened to stop these images of this beautiful model named Nikki Thot. I just couldn't help myself when seeing this amazing model posing carelessly in full on bright colors for this shoot. Browsing through the web I found out what magazing  it was and who styled , basically the whole nine yards, and this is what I found out. The photoshoot was taken graphed by Mariha  Jalena , and styled by Kate Carnegie and don't forget the flawless make-up/hair done by MUA Hair Shella Martin , and  model Nikki Thot. I'd say that these are the best images I've seen so far. Also adding I love seeing Dark sinked models in bright colors they both work together .

Marc Jacobs's spring collection stolen!?!?

Something has went terribly wrong this season for the house of Marc Jacobs when I reading from  [ fashionbombdaily] via [fashion.telegraph.co.uk]  that Samples of the designer's spring/summer 2012 collection have been stolen in transit from Paris. I couldn't believe what I was reading and I was in pure shock about what has occurred right before press day when all editors and publications get to get there hands on some of the pieces and review them. I JUST CAN'T GO ON.... only that I remain in silence about the tragedy that has happened.

H&M X VERSACE FASHION SHOW IN NEW YORK

Donnatella Versace always amazes me what everything see does and with this being the first time in history for Versace collection to collaborate with H&M. I love the idea of giving those who want to be fashionable a chance to shine , and the fashion show was outrageous from the women wear and menswear. I'm upset that the collection won't be selling here in Richmond, Va and that is a serious issue to me but other then that love love love every piece that walked the runway.

I say that this collaboration is much better then the LANVIN although I did enjoy it.

THE BIG BANG

Wow, What a load of Fresh air it is to get back to you guys after  missing days of posting. My week has been everywhere dealing with High School, Homework, peers, networking, and working on the weekend for Hollister Co. on the weekends. GESH!  A work load to do. Besides from that exciting things have been happening to me. Went shopping for my school's fashion show that will be occurring this month and boy talk about serious team work also including that I'm the coordinator that gives ideas. I've been thinking about things as far as for the model's make-up, What time will it start , and where it would be held at the time being of the show. Second year doing this and I want it to be better than the one we hosted last year at the end of the day. I imagined this year's fashion show as if I were in Dior couture show just blowing the crowd away. During the show it's suppose to be different categories such as Formal, Winter attire, and Fur and of course I chosen to model for fur, Picture me walking down the runway like Chanel Iman. HA! but I got skills along with the talents.

During the entire week I have been giving a sneak of what I might wear but not nessercerly giving them every detail there is just getting everyone excited about the show, lord knows I am.

I would like to first say that I hoped everyone enjoyed there Halloween last week because I did. Halloween to me gives you freedom to dress more freely even if you express yourself everyday , Like Moi ! I  had  tons of fun doing it and I might just do it more ofent. SHOPPING TIME !

Although I'm considered dressing differently from my peers at school  and some family members. I've  been feeling the itch to dress rebellious with my fashion style since the beginning of time. I got me some eye liner, and  Vola ! I dressed as extreme as I possiably could and it fell through. I also went into my closet and pulled out my custom made Raw Couture shirt that my designer friend Kolby Keen made for me a few months ago.

RECAPING LANVIN

Once the Lanvin's Winter/ Fall chimerical campaign hit the Internet a few months ago it was time to put on your dancing shoes. Female, She guys, and guys have been dancing the day away. I just loved how much fun it is and that is What Alber Elbaz  brings to the fashion brand Lanvin.

I'm not sure but I feel as if I want to make a video dancing... Should I? lol

I have been waitting to see the images from the collaboration between Versace X H&M. As far as the clothing I'm really excited about the acessoires and I can't wait untill also HOPE it hits the stores here in Richmond, Va. I've amired everytime H&M does a collab with high fashion designers because it gives you a chance to get a feel of the glam life. Not like anyone could do that, ANYWAY !! I'M SUPER EXCITED , HOW ABOUT YOU?

Tre Ford has worked with celebrity photographers Charles Tracy and Willis Roberts. His work has graced the pages of such prestige publications such as ELLE, Z!NK and Boulevard .

I just had to interview him because his talent as a Afro American shined among me.

 How are you today Mr. Ford?

 I have seen your work and to be honest it's amazing! What inspires you each time you style a client?

 Merci, Everything!.... I'm always going through a different experience so I use that with each and every project and I always want to top my last work of art. I'm always competing with myself!


What's the story of how you started styling?

 Well... I've always loved to express myself trough clothing and I wanted to take that to another level. So while working in a high boutique on the upper east side I met Janice Dickinsons sister and after a lengthy conversation she introduced me to French photographer Antoine Verglas and the rest is history.

as a stylist what have you faced?

High end*

·  Hmmmm.... This is a very contradictory answer but, being creative in a world where your honored and praised for it was a very prevalent reality for me. As well as working my way through a predominantly white industry. But once I started to prove myself "WORTHY" I started to be accepted slowly and slowly.

 what separates you from others fashion stylist in the industry?

 What separates me is the ability to take my personal style and bring it to the forefront of my work. Which has been a gift and a curse, because if you look at the overall scope and aesthetic of fashion... It's mostly a straight line... Not that many curves or detours so to speak. As well as my ability and blessing in disguise to have never been granted the opportunity of being able to assist a fashion stylist or intern for a magazine... Which is something almost every seasoned fashion stylist has done.

out of all the years to that have pasted what client would you say was you favorable to shoot?

·  Myself, when I shot the editorial for my feature in Hollywood Weekly with my muse Gemmy Quellz from Major Model Management that was an experience that I would never forget. I was the "MODEL" "CREATIVE DIRECTOR" and "FASHION STYLIST". So, for now that would be my most favorable client to shoot. I know that's not the answer most would say. But, I'm not most people






 what designers inspire you?

I'm inspired by Dsquard2, John Gallino, Gucci, Commes DES Garçon.

In ten words what describes Tre Ford?

10 words that would describe me would be.... PERSISTANT, COURAGEOUS, TRIUMPHANT, PEACEFUL, SIGNATURE, INNOVATIVE, POWERFUL, CONSISTENT, MINDFUL,

·  and of course. AMAZING ;)

 

 Most stylist that have been that have been in the styling scene eventually start there own fashion line, Do you see Tre ford as a brand?

It's interesting that this question is asked now... Because I have gotten this many time before. But now I'm in a graciously different place in my life. So I will just say ... I'm creating the brand before people even know that I exist. So you take that wherever you want to. ;)

I've recently and forever will work for the people who can't seem to find a voice in a fashion world that only gives way for a few.

What do you think would change about Tre Ford in 10 years or less?

The only will change besides the amount of wrinkles on my face would be the number of people I touch with my overall aesthetic as a fashion entity and my philosophy of being a human being a part of a forever changing society.

What advice would you give to those that want to make it in the industry of fashion?

BE YOURSELF!! And  know exactly what it is that you want. Think of it like this..... How would you know if a small child is hungry if it doesn't go near the refrigerator?
