I'm back and have news to share with you all !

Tuesday, I went downtown in Petersburg, VA to help assist a shoot with a stylist I worked with before I started my very own style team and it was all the pleasure of meeting the model Named Jenna Luxe. It so happens she was the face of a music video called where is Molly produced by a french born Dj  that received tons of hits and tweeted by Madonna. " I don't condone in drug usage."

But you have to admire her !!

Other then that I met her on our way to the hotel , when we were shooting with  her. I was in pure shock of how see moved, in an electric matter. The setting of the shoot was unimaginable because of the grungy look of it. but it was perfect for shooting a grunge ,sexy . chic photograph. I even brought my vintage fox to the shoot so that Jenna can rock the photographs out !

I do hope to work with her in the future!!

I'm excited to see her again , and see the finale photos.

I'm no street stlye blogger but...

No, I'm not a street style blogger but while Meia and I were running around downtown on Cary Street visiting stores, and boutiques for our shoot that is coming ahead of us. I knew right there we might just see some stylish people walking arond, and my fashion radar was beyound correct. I've seen more a bit more people walking around but since we were in such a hurry to finish our task of shopping. Like I tweeted ! who knew you could buy things off a $20 dollar budget.

Yesterday was productive , gotten my exsercise for the day, and found some things we could use for another shoot we are booked to do.

Lesson: To start a team or business there is always something that you have to  invest in. Takes money to a brige.

Life in Avant Garde

All week I've been talking it up that I was walking in my School's fashion show on twitter. The show was so festive and full of imagination and tons of hard work was put into it. I chose the title Life in Avant Garde because most of the time I'm pretty drawn towards styles, and fashion that are quite unique. Not every day you get the excitement to see that person walk down the street. As of may 9th . 2012 I was in my element to surprise, and bring out more of my "ego". The first scene that opened the show was the military scene and the thought came to me saying why not wear a net? Let me catch some more attention that will get them talking. I might have them talking for centuries. The experience was wonderful , heart exhilarating ,  and what made it better was to have my parents , and friend to come out to support me. other then that Now with this net I now own. I know this isn't a everyday thing to wear but somehow I have the temptation to want to wear it again somehow, some way. You never know what to expect from me , and I surprise myself often.

Spring awakings, repeat offenders, and gladiators

Hello fellow fashion readers and bloggers !

Happy leap year too you all. Today was a very interesting day for me due to the fact at my school  hosted a job fair and I happened to be a part of it ( looking for the job). It so happens that there wasn't any positions that interested me. Well I looked good doing what I do most ... staying styled to the max.

People if I must say that I noticed that I'm an repeat offender when it comes to wearing my vintage mink and it's a sad thing to put away once spring, and summer comes. You can already see that the spring flowers are blooming, and the sun is coming out more then usual. unless it was one of those wired days in the winter like we've been having . Cray Cray indeed. I'd wish sometimes that you could wear fur in the summer because it's so freaking beautiful to have with you.. You wouldn't believe how many times people have asked me what type of fur it that, or is that even real. honest truth  That's been asked over numerical amounts of times. Now all I can think of is what will I wear? Will I make me a few items for spring/Summer? what type of shoes are in store for me?

Speaking of shoes, I haven't owned a pair of Gladiator Shoes since I was 7 and been seeing them come back , and when they came back in season I never gotten a chance to order me a pair which I seen on Topman.com last summer. I'm wishing and hoping to buy a pair and style it to my pure needs of perfection.

Hello everyone,

I hope that everything is fashion forward!

Well with my I have been doing tons of things and that included moving to a new home, and school. What a big transition. You know how when you move from the place you thought you were going to be for a life time ? Then the next thing something whelming has happened that made you HAVE to  move. Then there's a thought of being unsure. Well that was all me for a second! Starting a new school was a big drag (not that I liked my old school)  for me because although I can be confident and not care to think what the next one says about me it was irking me and I was full of curiosity.

So far I've been in (MBK high ) for almost 2-3 weeks and I really am happy about the outcome, I thought what was the point in being fearful. After the move I still took what is most meaningful to me is to be myself : Flawless, Ambitious, Daring, kind, and everything that comes with me being Darius.

I am also in love with the diversity which students would of had a problem with at my old school. For most students...

I guess you can say I am Finally free !!! AT LAST

What make me Beautiful is the fact that I can live fearlessly, and carelessly of what people think of me. Yes I can be insecure about myself but everything changes when I know what's true about who I am and it’s what I think.  I'm not a small framed person but I'm a person that believes in myself.  I'm 17 years old and a strong individual. Some people look at me by my preference as being a Gay male and I never understood why. I'm not sadden by what people say or do because I have faith that it will come a day when I'm needed most and I'll be off in the winds where those who put me down or at least tired too  didn’t get the best of me.

Black Friday, Friday Black

I must tell you all that today was the biggest sell of the year besides from Fashion night out and that sale is called BLACK FRIDAY. Out of my entire life I've never ever worked in a retail store and this Holiday shopping day was the most interesting day of the my life, Talking about coming in at 11 pm- 5am on a Thursday night and working until morning comes which would be Friday leaving the mall at 7 then coming back at 5pm-11pm . We opened the store up afffround 12am and MY GOD! the customers came running in the door like chickens with no heads on. I never thought to see such  excitement out of people so early when we normally your suppose to be in bed sleep  then again who doesn't want to get that half of sales. I kid you not that the store was full of buying costumers and the lines were longer than anything you can imagine ( I might
 be exaggerating just a bit
 ) but the line was long. HA!

Wow, What a load of Fresh air it is to get back to you guys after  missing days of posting. My week has been everywhere dealing with High School, Homework, peers, networking, and working on the weekend for Hollister Co. on the weekends. GESH!  A work load to do. Besides from that exciting things have been happening to me. Went shopping for my school's fashion show that will be occurring this month and boy talk about serious team work also including that I'm the coordinator that gives ideas. I've been thinking about things as far as for the model's make-up, What time will it start , and where it would be held at the time being of the show. Second year doing this and I want it to be better than the one we hosted last year at the end of the day. I imagined this year's fashion show as if I were in Dior couture show just blowing the crowd away. During the show it's suppose to be different categories such as Formal, Winter attire, and Fur and of course I chosen to model for fur, Picture me walking down the runway like Chanel Iman. HA! but I got skills along with the talents.

During the entire week I have been giving a sneak of what I might wear but not nessercerly giving them every detail there is just getting everyone excited about the show, lord knows I am.

I will be posting more photos after my the show of my outrageous out fits.

I would like to first say that I hoped everyone enjoyed there Halloween last week because I did. Halloween to me gives you freedom to dress more freely even if you express yourself everyday , Like Moi ! I  had  tons of fun doing it and I might just do it more ofent. SHOPPING TIME !

Although I'm considered dressing differently from my peers at school  and some family members. I've  been feeling the itch to dress rebellious with my fashion style since the beginning of time. I got me some eye liner, and  Vola ! I dressed as extreme as I possiably could and it fell through. I also went into my closet and pulled out my custom made Raw Couture shirt that my designer friend Kolby Keen made for me a few months ago.

Turned some heads , took pictures, and here's my favorite pictures of me.

HOLLISTER WORKER

Remember me telling you guys about the interview I had with hollister in( Diversity only )?

Well to let you all know that I'm an official worker at Hollister co. ! During my orientation this past Friday I felt as if the experience was surreal, Why? well my biggest goal in life was to either work in a store with clothing, or make my own. Other than that become a fashion editor, stylist, anything that is fashion related. but this is the closest thing I can do right at this moment and BOY ! I'm happy to be a worker at Hollister.

I can't wait to start my first day !

P.S Hope to get use to seeing inside the store but everything is wonderful.

The revealment of the line which was in the closet was bigger then anything I have ever imagined giving you something to remember him by and honey if this was it , I was stunned the dramitc pause that has taken over the night. Within the closets showing both menswear and women for Raw Couture in the side for women was model/face of Raw couture Monique who is Kolby's cousin modeling one of raw couture dresses.  

MEETING KOLBY KEEN

The experience last night was wonderful ! I couldn't imagine seeing someone as talented and driven to purse a wonderful career in fashion by starting their own line and from there working 24/7 in an amount of hours to make everything possible for them. I meet Kolby Keen via Facebook but watching his progression from there made it clear that this college kid is destine to go far and I will support him all  the way through. Other then that I will have more pictures and post of the fab event that made everything worth wild for a 17 year old kid like me. Other then that the night was about him , and networking with others in the apartment 4j. lol

TOMORROWS PREPARATION

I have been in preparation for more than a week now for my friend Kolby Keen Raw Couture private launch party. Invites has been sent out and I so happened to have received and invite to this wonderful event. Although his local his has an amazing talent for fashion and him launching his new collection and website should be an extraordinary experience for him and myself. Why for me? Well this would be my first party/fashion event I've attended.

Even though the picture says Oct.1st but the party is the view before the official launching.

I will be taking pictures and everything that  my eyes during the entire party you might want to stay tuned. SERIOUSLY!

Showing my support is the best I can do but also being engaged with this makes everything worth going after.

New beginnings , new blog.

Happy to be on a new beginnings with a whole new blog. Since my transition from tumblr I want to take a on the fashion worldwith a new mind, and goals. If you don't know me and those who do my name is Darius Burnettte, I'm from Richmond, Va and most important a true fashion obsessed person that you may know or meet.
